"Eden"

What was the original "sin" that cast us out of paradise?

What was the original "sin" that cast us out of Eden ?

I was contemplating this while creating this piece. I came to the conclusion that it may have been pride—the thread that, once pulled, began the unraveling… the fall of unity consciousness.
"Eden" symbolising the rich inner garden of the mind, cultivated through inner peace—a paradise within—where awareness moved without division, like an unbroken thread.

There was no boundary between self, the land, each other and the source of all, only harmony & balance within the mind and the natural world.
As within-so without

But then—what shifted?

Was it pride? (Ego/ Id)
The quiet turning inward that whispered: I am apart. I am separate.

Maybe that was also the moment the soul began its journey into self-awareness—realizing a need for independence.

Just as a child rebels from their parents to better understand themselves, perhaps there is no true “good” or “bad” from the perspective of the universe. It simply -is.

Could this have been part of a greater design?
A deep descent into one’s own shadow (ego/id) in order to learn self-actualization… and eventually return to the source?

After the spiral descent comes the rising—consciousness awakening into self-awareness, and then returning to unity consciousness.

Perhaps this is how the source experiences itself—learning, evolving, even self-correcting what feels like corrupted/broken/distorted coding.

And when pride distorts, does it harden into arrogance?
Into hierarchy—this above that, self above other—where worth becomes measured?

Like broken pottery, forgetting it was never separate from the original vase.

Did that single movement loosen the weave?

Maybe Eden didn’t vanish as a place abandoned, but as unity forgotten.

The “fall” may have been a fracture in perception internally- that reflected externally.

*Left masculine expressions of the mind * -logic, the need- to analyze, name, make sense and create organized structures - contractive

*Right feminine intuitive, creative, emotional, fluid, expansive -

Not working in unity as a whole, But one side battling for domanace over the other.

The unconcious sleeping mind, controling the concious mind- without emotional awareness .

Like fractals folding in on themselves, repeating patterns infinitely… until a pattern disruption occurs, and something new can emerge

What was the original "sin" that got us cast out of paradise ?
This is what I was contemplating when creating this piece. I came to the conclusion it may have been pride ...that is what comes before the fall of consciousness....
