Cleanse these crystals once a week to ensure they stay clear & powerful by placing them in a bowl of saltwater washing them. Make your rinse your crystals well after washing them in salt. Also doubtle check that they arent soft and the salt is too harsh. Alternative method is to wipe them down and place on a selenite charging plate or a bowl of rice.

It can be as complex or it may be as simple as a circle or square .All these shapes carry a different energy, for example triangles tap into simplicity and structure and also represent the number 3.

Squares help with boundaries, while spirals are about reaching out and expanding. The grid that’s really powerful for courage is a circle . It represents unlimited energy and strong boundaries. It also represents belonging, oneness, and protection.

 I like to place a grid in locations that I know I’ll see them. I like to keep the energy clear and high near my grids or alters. Placing them by windows to receive solar and lunar energies is optimum. Or I have a live plant by them, they will feed off each other and amplify the positive energy in the same way plants give us oxygen, they gift us vital life force energy!

You can get creative with pieces of drift wood if you're by the ocean, shells, for forest people, pieces of bark, fallen branches ,flowers, pine cones ....every plant, animal and mineral have different healing and magical properties.

You’ll want to choose the items/ crystals that have the properties that coincide with your intention.

First don't get overwhelmed by making sure its the "right "one and knowing all the properties. Keep it simple and clean to start until you get comfortable building into bigger projects.

I cant stress that enough. If we start to over think or worry we loose our intuitive edge and start to over use the logical side of our brain. Then it all goes to hell, well for me anyways:) Im an over thinker and when i start to over think I tend to get my thoughts too scattered then become ungrounded and loose my natural "flow".

When you're starting out keep your alters and grids nice and simple. It's about you creating the energy and these are merely tools to help us focus our intentions. Through creative play we manifest and energy flows where intention goes. That is the point of doing grids and alters.

First just intuitively pick your crystals or items. Then when you're done do a little research. I bet you will be surprised at how well what you picked will be just what you need!

Personally I don't leave grids out too long as when you first "light them up or activate them" they are the strongest. It feels like after a couple days that the energy starts to fade unless the items are cleared cleansed and the area the grid is placed on cleaned and cleared.

This is where you have to trust your intuition and get used to feeling the difference when. you first set it up how light and airy and fresh it feels. Then you will notice it will start to almost feel "dusty" and heavy. That is magical debris, as I like to call it. Kind of like magical dust .That's why if I leave my grids or alters up for a few days I use palo santo or sage and give them a little energetic dusting.
