Please note this is information I have gathered that seems to be a common understanding of the chakra system, The idea of this system is around 2000 ish years old, so its a newer way of looking at the bodies energy centers. Older traditions like for example in Taoism they only recognize the 3 centers of the Dan Tien. Try out different methods and approaches and see what feels right and works for you. I struggled with doing chakra work until I realized that the older methods resonated more with me, But find your path! This information is not to be used instead of seeking medical advice from a professional. This is intended for mental and spiritual health practices

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdyg8jt0OQU I enjoy this quick but effective 7 chakra clearing meditation.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9WasL59vOs This is a full 7 chakra clearing meditation
Using a mediation music or guided light the colored candle you want to work on. Meditate on the flame of the candle and ask for healing in that area , Be open to what that healing means, let go of the expectations and control around what your personal healing may look like.
If your using the longer meditation you may light each candle as you get to each chakra until they are all lit.
You can extinguish them and use them another time. Unlike alter candles when your doing spell work, you can light up and blow our c chakra candles as you need .
If you are struggling to connect to the colour or chakra thats ok, it just means it needs more work. Be gentle with yourself, it took a long time to get to where you are its going to take some time to undo past trauma and hurt.
If you have strong feelings arise during a meditation just sit with them for a few min.
Take slow deep breaths, then ... Bless and Release.
Bless your mind, your body, your spirit and soul<3
Let those feelings wash over you then feel them leave our your hands and feet as you pull the universal light energy through your crown chakra , pull it down through your chest back , arms, out your hands , let the energy flow like water and travel down to your hips, tops of your thighs, backs of legs and let it flow out the bottom of your feet.
* You may want to choose white light, golden light or the violet flame light to pull down from source energy. Whatever you more easily connect to use. For ex. If you want to work on your solar chakra, light a yellow candle, sit with it and pull down yellow light through you. Then feel the energy flowing nice and steady though your sacral chakra.
*If that doesn't feel right, still connect to the divine consciousness source energy and allow that to wash over you like a cleansing light.I
In stead of pushing the light through you may want to feel that area filled with the yellow light.
*You may want to incorporate crystals into your session as well. I like the black and white to represent balance, harmony, grounded, clearing and open any chakra's that may have closed down due to trauma.
On the forum page how to clear and charge crystal you will find out more info how to charge your quartz crystal.
You can ask the spirit alley/ helper of the crystal for specific help or more general.
For ex: I need to learn more self love and joy in my life...So I am going to work with my heart , solar and third eye.
this is optional and more leaning to alter/ chakra workl. Hey we can do anything as long as it follows the rules of magic and the universal laws! ( that is for another time I will add more on those topics) If you scroll down I list the chakras, element and stone examples.)
I may find the herbs that correlate with the properties that I am evoking. Lay them out in my shells (offering dish) If you want to go even deeper you may call upon a specific guide, goddess, god, diety, angel, fairy, dragons ect,...
Those offerings are for them as a, " I see you and thank you for being with me! Here's a little gift a token of my appreciation and respect","
Ex of small prayer while lighting the candles,
"I ask that ,my heart be open to learn to express self love and care for myself and all beings. So that i may find my passion in life and feel connected to all things, I ask for a clear /open third eye so that I may see the situations before me clearer and able to make wise heart centered decisions that will bring me happiness in all that I do and encounter"
So be it... then I use my personal sigil i have created for myself and drawn it in the air with my finger or my crystal wand to seal the deal.
Check out my group on sigils.
What are Chakra's
Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)
The Muladhara, or root chakra, represents our foundation. On the human body, it sits at the base of the spine and gives us the feeling of being grounded. When the root chakra is open, we feel confident in our ability to withstand challenges and stand on our own two feet. When it's blocked, we feel threatened, as if we're standing on unstable ground.
Root Chakra(Muladhara)
Location: Base of spine, in tailbone area
What it controls: Survival issues such as financial independence, money, and food
Mantra: " I am secure and stable in all areas of my life. My mind, body and spirit are safe"
Color: Red
Element: Earth
Stone: Hematite
Yoga pose: Warrior I
When it develops: 1-7 years old
2. Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana)
The Swadhisthana, or sacral chakra, helps inform how we relate to our emotions and the emotions of others. It also governs creativity and sexual energy. Those with a blocked sacral chakra could feel a lack of control in their lives.
Location: Lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel
What it controls: Your sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, and sexuality
Color: Orange
Element: Water
Stone: Tiger's Eye
Yoga pose: Bound Angle Pose
When it develops: 8-14 years old
3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
The third chakra, the solar plexus chakra, speaks to your ability to be confident and in control of your life. Think back to the last time you had butterflies or felt a pit in the stomach: That's the Manipura chakra at work. If your solar plexus chakra is blocked, you might feel overwhelming amounts of shame and self-doubt. Those with open sacral chakras are free to express their true selves.
Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area
What it controls: Self-worth, self-confidence, and self-esteem
Color: Yellow
Element: Fire
Stone: Amber
Yoga pose: Boat Pose
When it develops: 15-21 years old
4. Heart Chakra (Anahata)
The Anahata, or heart chakra, is the bridge between the lower chakras (associated with materiality) and the upper chakras (associated with spirituality). As the name suggests, this chakra can influence our ability to give and receive love—from others and ourselves. Someone with a blocked heart chakra will have difficulty fully opening up to the people in their life. If someone's heart is open, they can experience deep compassion and empathy.
Location: Center of chest, just above the heart
What it controls: Love, joy, and inner peace
Color: Green/ Pink
Element: Air
Stone: Rose Quartz, Emerald
Yoga pose: Camel Pose
When it develops: 21-28 years old
5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
The Vishuddha, or throat chakra, gives voice to the heart chakra and controls our ability to communicate our personal power. When it's functioning at full capacity, it allows us to express ourselves truly and clearly. Someone with a blocked throat chakra will feel like they have trouble finding the words to say how they truly feel.
Location: Throat
Color: Light Blue/Turquoise
Element: Sound/Music
Stone: Aquamarine
Yoga pose: Fish Pose
When it develops: 29-35 years old
6. Third-Eye Chakra (Ajna)
As we move up the body, we're getting closer to communion with the divine. The Anja, or third-eye chakra, controls our ability to see the big picture and connect to intuition. Think of it as the eye of the soul: It registers information beyond the surface level. Visions and intuitive hits are not uncommon for someone with an open third-eye chakra.
Location: Forehead between the eyes (also called the Brow Chakra)
What it controls: Intuition, imagination, and wisdom
Color: Dark Blue/Purple
Element: Light
Stone: Amethyst
Yoga pose: Child's Pose
When it develops: 36-42 years old
7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)
The Sahasrara, or crown chakra, the highest chakra, sits at the crown of the head and represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually. When you fully open your crown chakra you're able to access a higher consciousness.
Location: The very top of the head
What it controls: Inner and outer beauty, spiritual connection
Lesson: "I am a vessel for love and light."
Color: Violet/White
Element: Divine Consciousness
Stone: Clear quartz
Yoga pose: Headstand
When it develops: 43-49 years old
