Before I set my alter up cleansing your home/ and your body is all part of the ritual. Some things I am still a traditionalist on as much as I'm not one for rules and dogma of any religion. When first starting out we need to first build a solid foundation ,routine for our craft and energy work. We want to go into ceremony as clear and focused as we possibly can.
This part of the ritual is your self care part. It reminds you that we must take care of our temples (our bodies) along with our mind and spirit. To love and honour these vessels that carry our souls.
By taking the extra steps we also have more time to reflect on what it is that we are manifesting, listening for spirit to give us some guidance and grounding our energies before we open the circle of energy as we set up our alter.
Its always important even if you decide not to incorporate a ritual bath into your ceremony to at least clear/ clean the space that you're setting up in. Working on a fresh canvas, is what it feels like to me.
*You may use an organza bag add some dried herbs into it, then put bag to soak in bath water.
Using their magical and medicinal properties to boost the spell you're working on or for extra clearing and raising your frequencies .
*Add some salt, essential oils and a couple crystals to your bath water.
*Add a few drops of herbal oil Use the rose hip oil . Your skill will love you for it!
*Listen to some relaxing music reflect on what you want to release emotionally in order to achieve your goal.
*Have a cup of hot or iced tea , relax & enjoy!
Good vibes only:)
